" Ang hindi magmahal sa kanyang sariling wika ay higit sa hayop at malansang ISDA"
"Indio" this is the biggest insult of Spaniards to the early Filipinos, they are unconscious that the Filipinos use to call them "Bangus" as an exchange to their insult. This thought make me laugh when Mr. Redublo (our Rizal instructor) discuss it. In the midst of the class my mind unconsciously go further and further until it snatches a certain lines in Rizal's poem "Sa Aking mga Kabata" (the lines shows above) it proves that the word fish pertains to Spaniards.
The line tells us that whoever us that whoever betrays it's own home land is cursing than the Spaniards who gives us pain and destroyed our humanity. In this kind of brave and naked writing of Rizal it had also answered the question " Why does Rizal is our National hero and not Bonifacio?". It's because Rizal is braver than Bonifacio, Bonifacio figth with numbers of Katipuneros with bolo while Rizal fights alone wiht his pen. Think about it, who among the two is easily identified is it Rizal or Bonifacio? If you'd assest that you may know the answer.
